The Count was clearly in the mood for boogying on down this Sunday gone and happily went through his entire repertoire of courtship moves while we watched.

Seems to be a duet in the first photo :D

Makes me nostalgic for good looking forage, and a white cockeral :D

When I was in Turkey I really missed the greenness of Britain Mrs Biscuit, I remember flying back in over the green fields and it looking more so much more beautiful than I had ever thought before.

Those are his regular girls Val, they are used it by now, the Silver Sussex have just been introduced from the top pen as one of their number has gone properly broody and is sitting on 11 eggs and so are a bit new to it all, at the same time the Exchequer Leghorn x has also unpredictably gone broody and so she is now sitting in a nest box next to the Sussex and we will see if that works out or not.

Magnificent! What an amazing set of photos - and great that you have picked such a good dancer! How are you finding the alpacas as guardians Dinosaw?

Thanks chickenfan, the alpacas have been very good as guardians, they chase anything that moves just for the fun of it and were especially protective of the first set of new chicks we put out, sleeping beside their run. They have also been very hard on our limited pasture, 0.8 acres for them split into two hasn't been enough really especially with the ridiculously wet weather we have had over the last year and a bit, that coupled with both of us having a bad time of it health wise has meant that we have recently sold them back to the breeder simply to give us one less thing to have to cope with. :(
