Chris, would love to see some photos of your TNN's when you have some!

Well Claude cockerel is rather shy at the moment as he's never been on his own before so I don't want to spook him with a camera yet. The girls are fantastic and getting very friendly now. Will be in the run same time as me and not hide in the coop anymore. They are all babies only 6 months old but just started laying. We're keeping them separate but close in small runs as they seem to be happy like that. It will be a long while before they can cope with big spaces I think because they are very flightly -not like normal chickens you can run after and catch. Same as Leghorn Bantams actually. If they spook they could fly anywhere! So may try for photos this weekend.

So the pullets have settled down so well they were allowed out into a larger area and then decided to explore the whole Orchard. importantly they came back straight away to a corn treat. They speak a different chicken language again -Romanian version obviously. So here are the photos of the little darlings Sue.

Claude is settling down and is just a few days away from eating corn from my hand. His crowing is improving now. Obviously he was junior to all the others in the shed and didn't crow at all, so more practice required. But the notes are getting steadier and louder -he will never beat the Wyandottes for volume though. Has got used to pellets and enjoys them, but his favourites are still corn and apple.

He speaks Romanian as well. So sweet, just want to give him a big hug!

I'm gobsmacked.
What amazing chickens. - especially Claude. Waht he lacks in neck feathers he more than makes up for with comb and wattles!
I can see how loveable he is, Chris, but you have to admit it looks as if there's some vulture in there somewhere....
What a very lucky boy, to have those three lovely (!) ladies as his harem!

Thank you for posting the photos Chris. They certainly are stunning looking birds and look very healthy with their lovely glossy feathers! Have the girls got French names yet?
