Hi all, could anyone tell me why the hens are better to eat than the stags ? or is there any difference?? cheers..Andy.

Whilst I'm no expert in this area, I would say Stags will be bigger, hens smaller and possibly more tender than mature Stags? I am guessing that the Turkeys you buy in the shops are mixed sex since I've never heard of sex linkage being used for Turkeys and I'd say this gives a range of sizes when combined with different rearing times and diet.
