..... And replaced her with a really friendly, bold chirpy girl than has been sat on the arm of my garden chair eating titbits and chatting all afternoon. Quite astounding!
Ever since getting Nancy, she's refused every attempt I've ever made to tame her or get friendly with me. She's struggled at every attempt to pick her up and stays just out of finger reach, even when eating out of my hand. However, since losing Mildred, she's been my little shadow and when I had soup and a roll at the garden table today, she popped up to sit on the arm, then stayed there, finally ending up on my lap for most of the afternoon. She didn't stay all the time, but whenever I returned to the seat, she popped up and chirruped away to me, obviously very pleased with herself about something.
Poor thing, she's obviously in need of therapy.... But been a magical afternoon for me.
