Hi Everyone,

I'm hoping someone can suggest the best way to handle this problem.

On Monday I discovered the coop has been leaking :o Not very badly (I would have noticed sooner) but all this rain we've been having must have seeped in somehow, still can't work out how. Whats happened is that there are some damp patches along the floor (its 2 ft off the ground  ) & slightly damp on one wall.

Anyway, this seems to be effecting the chooks in that they're now sneezing. The inside must have got slightly damp & I know damp is not good & respitory problems are certainly not good :? .

They are all coping so far, they have regular garlic & ACV in the water, & since monday I've added Poultry Spice to their food as a boost. As the moment I don't think they're in danger but as I know chooks go down so fast I'm wondering what else I can do to help prevent anything getting worst.

Any help appreciated. Thanks everyone.

Have done temporary fix to house by covering whole thing in tarpaulin - where ever the waters coming from it can't get it now! New one in pipeline ;)

Hi Lucylou, sounds like you are doing all the right things already. If any get worse then you'll have to get antibiotics from the vet but hopefully it won't come to that. We have abit of tarpaulin over both houses over winter as I'm so afraid of water getting in. :)
