Hi any ideas of what is crossed with a cream legbar 2 make a skyline hybrid chicken.

I'm certainly not sure about this, but seem to remember being told it was a cuckoo Maran, or whichever bird is also used to produce a Bluebell.
If this not right, someone will say before long!

Columbine is just another name for/strain of Skyline. Never been able to find out exactly what goes into them myself, but whatever it is they shouldn't have bothered if my own experiences with them are anything to go by, my local stockist has to keep them in a seperate barn from the other hybrids.

Why the question Greenhen. If you want proper blue eggs ask Darkbrowneggs and be prepared to travel- England is a tiny place believe me!

just wondered as someone thought one of my cream legbars was a skyline instead. She was bread from my cream legbar stock and all my eggs are lovely and blue. So i thought I would find out more as I hadn't really heard of teh hybrid before and was curious.

None of the breeds stated previously are likely to be involved in their breeding but there is probably a dose of Araucana. They have a 'mixed' reputation as many do not lay blue eggs and some are poor layers.
