Sick Goose

Help! My ten year+ African goose has been sick on and off for the last month. He has lost a lot of weight and has been very thirsty, hanging around the water and not leaving it. And up until the last day or two he had a ravenous appetite, he was chasing me around for food. But inspite of supplementing with lots of treats, he continues to decline. He has been having these bad days when I think he is not going to make it and the next day, he is up and begging for food but the last two days he is just not rebounding. I wormed him with Piperzine and waited two weeks and gave him Ivermectin in the beginning of this week. Also his wing is having down. I have 9 other geese that are fine. Anybody have any thoughts, I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

It could be such a wide variety of things, sadly only a vet could give you a diagnosis, can you get him to a vet?

Its too late, he passed away last night. I just found an Avian vet too, not too far away. I didn't think there was any around and the others are worthless with poultry. Know I now. At least he had an aweome life, out to pasture all day. He could have been quite old, I have no idea, I had him for at least 10 years after he showed up at a campground. Thank you anyway.
