sexing chicks?

ok everyone have just been reading about feather sexing of chicks? any opinions pls? it seems fairly easy and is wide spread in large hatcheries!!! the females have primary wing feathers all the same length the boys have shorter ones in between!!! may get some day old chicks at market in next couple days!!

Hi, i think you will find it harder than you think-as only some birds can be feather sexed at day old- most day olds are vent sexed- or sex linked. And vent sexing chicks is a highly skilled job.

thanks David guessed it would be something like that!!! guess ill just have to take a chance that most are girls lol

can i make a suggestion why not try a breed that is auto sexed where pullets differ from cockerals in colour
