I am DESTERATELY trying to get a bantam cockerel back from Salisbury............ Can ANYONE help?

We are near Thetford, Norfolk (IP24) area.

PLEASE if anyone can help do contact us......... We have a young baby and a toddler - so this would be a HUGE help to us!

Thanks

I'm not going but if you need a drop off / overnight stop for him to relay him back, I can look after him for you.

I am not far from Bedford A421 / M1 J13.

Good Luck!

Tim

Excellent thank you - just need to find someone who is coming from down that way! Bedford is good for us - we often go to MK or have friends/family coming to us from there!

No luck yet, but REALLY hpoing someone may come forward!!

A friend of mine has been going to salisbury for a few years now, (680 mile round trip so stays in hotel on the friday night) but after septembers sale he advised he isn't going to bother again.
Some of the birds were not as advertisied (speckled sussex x 4 pullets were in fact cuckoo maran bantams x 4 (3 cockerels & 1 hen), 3 x porcelain sablepoot pullets (were 3 young cockerels)! etc.... etc... if people bidding did not have knowledge on poultry then they would have been getting ripped off, could the auctioneers have done something about it? My friend also got ripped off, spent £25 on 1 x millefleur pekin, when he got the bird home he found it was limping, on further examination found the bird had suffered a very large dog bite on its chest and wing which was infected but had partially scabbed over and the wing broken, the hen died 3 days later!
Some sellers just don;t care about what they put into auctions!!!!!

Rant over, I feel so much better thankyou!!

omg that's awful and that was 1 of the auctions i was hoping to attend :(
maybe not now
im surprised that all that stuff wasn't more noticed but then im no expert only having visited 1 poultry auction be4
I'm going to north petherton this saturday and i have a long list of wants lol

I must admit, I don't buy from auction anymore - there are just too many chances to bring something nasty into my flock that might knock my birds down. I try to hatch everything I want now or go direct to the breeder and wait until what I want becomes available.
