I almost fell of my chair this morning when a friend rang to say a pair of Silver Millefleur Sabelpoots she was after at Salisbuty on Saturday went for too much money - I asked her how much they went for, she replied £600 !!!! for the pair (cockerel and hen), a pullet in the next cage went for £245 !!!

And I thought my back garden hens gave me quite expensive eggs!
When you think that breeders usually send their less good stock to an auction, it makes you wonder what the seller has tucked away at home - a goose laying golden eggs maybe.

Whatever is a silver millefleure? They are both seperate colours. Did she mean a porcelain? And just a pair! I just gave an unwanted sablepoot cockerel away! Or were they some rare new colour? Hmm I've got a rather pretty coloured young C@C cockerel.

Silver millefleur is same as a normal (gold) mille but with no gold, lol.
You have to imagine a mille with all the gold on it turned to white, look sort of spangled.

Thats an amazing price vp, bet the seller will be finding some more for the next sale, lol.
