Hi
New to the forum I have had two Runner ducks both male, a year old .
On Friday we lost one 😢 to a fox we think ? they always go in the pond after they have had dinner. We found heap of feathers by the pond.
I’m sooo upset they were my babies live cuddles and so friendly , but now Ronnie is looking very sad we can’t leave him on his own can anyone offer me some advice on finding a home ? I’ve been on Facebook pages .
We live in rural area and I fear of it happening again 😢 the hardest decision.
Derbyshire area.
Thank you
Hayley

Hi @Hayley welcome to the forum!
I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. We might be able to help you find a home. Some of our resident experts are in the UK and should have some resources for you.

Hi Hayley. My heart goes out to you; they look gorgeous.

Rather than giving up your remaining runner drake, could you not fox - proof your run / garden & then get him a couple of young ladies? There are quite a few old threads on the forum under "chicken runs, houses & equipment " to give you some pointers.

You could also try sending a direct message to DorsetDuckOwner. She's the forum's main duck expert.
