Reluctantly, we are looking for a good home for 8 friendly laying free range hens (various breeds), & 2 non laying Khaki Campbell ducks. One duck has only one eye, as the drake that we used to have, pecked it during mating. The chickens & ducks must all go to same home together. We would want to do a rehoming visit before they were handed over, as they are very dear to us, and we want to be happy with their new home and owners. If you are local in North Devon, and think you could possibly give these girls a good life, please get in touch. The ducks are used to using a small pond, and they all free range and take themselves off to bed & sleep together in a shed, which is locked up at night. Many thanks. email:p[email protected]

I just wonder if it might be worth putting them in the Devon Association of Smallholders website journal too.

Thanks for your advice Chickenfan. I think you have to be a member, but I've found their Facebook page. Thanks again.

TBH, Mooner,I think you're unlikely to find a suitable home which will take a whole flock of 8 hens and 2 ducks, within visiting distance of North Devon. Is there any special reason why they can't be separated? Do you have a deadline for rehoming them, perhaps because you're moving house yourselves?
It might help your search if you could post pics of the birds and more details of their breeds and ages. Unfortunately, there are always lots of hens and ducks in need of rehoming on various websites, so you need to make yours stand out from the crowd and be prepared to be flexible about rehoming, in twos or threes maybe.
