Redcaps

You don't look as if you need much advice! At a guess though I'd say go to shows and study the shape and size of the comb in the winners, and select your stock accordingly as soon as you are sure of the sex of the birds. Go for the largest best shaped combs. Redcaps are of course most famous for their combs.

Hi animartco

I always welcome any advice I can get. Thank You! :-)17

Hi All

I have been looking over my Redcaps and have noticed that my Redcaps have a green sheen. I think I have read that in the Redcaps it is best to have a blue or purple sheen in them. If anyone knows or has any information on what the color sheen should be please let me know. :)

This is one of "My Girls"
We no longer have any cockerels as they were related, I plan to get some breeding stock eventually as they are such beautiful birds. The cockerels are really noisy though!

This is a young cockerel

And this a show-bird, from a local Poultry Club show
