Fly tipping around here is a big problem, usually big lorry loads dumped in farm fields or on nature reserves. Two country lanes have recently been permanently closed and converted to cycle paths as up to 5 lorry loads were being tipped every night.
The fly tippers who dumped 2 van loads in the fields opposite us, watched by OH and the CCTV got a £10,000 fine and had their van crushed, the homeowner who let them take the rubbish "cheaply " got £2000 fine.

OH gets driven mad by the rubbish just thrown out from cars as she walks along the lane. At least she does a weekly pick up with her friend. Last weeks haul was 37 Costa cups, 18 Costa sandwich packets, 32 water bottles, 15 cigarette packets, 12 Red Bull cans 6 Coke cans
