I can't actually believe it! Potty Dottie, my (small) Silver Laced Wyandotte who has caused me continual problems since her arrival has finally decided to start laying eggs again. Or at least I hope she has, this could just be a one off!!!! After being broody for months, then having a prolapse, then going broody again for months, then getting 'the wobbles' because she went straight into a moult from being broody and (I think) she was lacking protein getting to her brain so was 'drunk' for a week! I am very grateful for her egg, she is a very small hen with a very big personality and her eggs are just a bonus! Yes, I probably am mad!!!!!!!!!! :-)07 :-)07 :-)07

Would you believe it! She's done it again today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe this year she will have settled down and could deliver the full Wyandotte quota -180 plus Sue. What will you do with them all?

I think I'll frame them Chris! After all the problems she's caused me in the last year she should be producing at least double that to earn her keep!!!

Make a small hole at each end with a pin. Blow out the contents. Egg preserved for life !!

Are they still coming then ?? A lot has changed since last year when u were at the end of your tether with her..... bet you glad you stuck it out now, she sounds great, the awkward ones are the ones we get attached to as they are so full of character

She's laying an egg every other day!! She's not broody and she's not bullying anyone (that's probably because she's only with one other hen and she is the Legbar who was top bird in the flock!!!) Oh and she hasn't not a prolapse (at the moment anyway) and she's not 'drunk'. Phew! How long can this last I wonder.
