Please spare a thought for my little Nancy

finally think I'm going to lose my little mud monster - Took to her bed overnight and is refusing to leave, pale head tucked under her wing snoozing. For the first time ever I think shes given up (not me) and she seems at peace, so think its time to say goodnight.

Hi BabyBantam.
I'll be thinking of you both over the next few days. If Nancy does pass away, I'd hope that she'll meet my Duracell in hen heaven & share some juicy titbits.

Sadly, she died yesterday afternoon, head tucked under her wing with my other 2 girls quiely in attendance.
She never gave up on life all through her crazy illness's & together we managed to give her a year longer than we ever thought possible. She will be sorely missed, as although she was middle in the pecking order, was always the one at the front of the queue for mealworms, first to get her head in a hole and ALWAYS mucky. Loved her to death
She's now buried next to her best buddy Mildred, at the end of the garden.... will always be in my heart.

So sorry to hear your sad news, but glad that Nancy enjoyed her extra year & passed away in peace, surrounded by.her friends.
I don't think any of us can ask for more than that, can we?
