hi, was wondering if anyone else has had this, the lady i get my pekin eggs from keeps lots of colors but has no partridge but hatches and so do i gold and silver partridge from her millefleur pekins, how can this be? thanks hayley

The colour in Pekins is notoriously unstable because it is relatively new and needs quite a few years of selective breeding to make it stable.

Genetically milli can be made on the same e allele as partridge which is why you are seeing that colour but silver should be reasonably easy to breed out as its dominant so if you don't put any silver birds back into the mix you should'nt get any out.
