My 8 1/2 year old araucana is suffering from tremors of her head & neck. Her neck will jerk forwards & slightly to one side a few times, & then stop as quickly as it started. This seems to be happening increasingly frequently.

She's still eating, drinking & bossing the others around, so it doesn't seem to be bothering her unduly. Any idea what might be the cause, or is it just old age?

She's done really well to get to that age, and to manage a change of flock a little while ago, when you took her on. After eight years, one would have to expect some age-related health problems. The jerky movements might be neurological, as you surmise, or possibly stroke symptoms? So long as she seems happy and active, no need to do anything to her, I would think, just keep her comfortable and watch to see if there's any progress in her tics. Some days, I know just how she feels.
