our first chick :D :D

for all that have been keeping up with us know that one of our hens went broody
and we brought 6 fertilised eggs for her to sit on

22 days later...... and look what we found

yaaaaaaaaay our very 1st chick

we think another one or two have hatched but we havent seen them properly yet will wait till they come out

3 out of 6 ent bad for her frist brood i was happy when we thought there was only one

heres a pic of the other 2 chicks

she took them out today theyve had something to eat and drink and while they were out i removed the shells and they hatched from the bottem eggs in this pic

not sure what breed they are as we brought a pick a mix batch of eggs but after looking at pics of all the breeds he had they are either a silver sussex or a black orp but im think more silver cuz of the colour of the eggs but could be wrong would love to know what others think?

yes it is they are all out now running around eatting and drinking

i dont know why i cant see the pics to cuz i can see them
