You might be surprised how loving and how they just love love attention. I find if you gently tickle their necks they will fall asleep with their heads in your lap. I NEVER realized how much personality they have, how much they love to be touched tickled and pet. I introduced our 2 day old babies to our 4 dogs (a Miniature Pincer, Chihuahua, King Charles Spaniel and Welsh Spaniel) I don't think the dogs knew what to think. As they got older, their relationship with the dogs grew and that turkey peck taught them "NO Nipping" LOL They just love soft fuzzy things, soon everyone learned to share the fuzzy dog blanket. Our dogs LOVE to roll in the hay around the turkey, when the dogs lift up his head, he rubs his head and neck on their head. As for the cats, well they loved to get in the middle of all the cats, who snuggled up together, make a spot and just lay down, and get a fuzzy kitty neck rub. I know it's rather bizarre, having prey and predator together, but to my animals it's understood that if it's loved by us, it's one of the family (ask the bunnies LOL) I think allot has to do with just how smart and responsive turkeys really are. I will never eat one again. I just thank god I don't have a pet cow or I would starve. Enjoy your new additions.
PS My daughter even taught our hen tricks.
