my 5 new, two week old Aylesbury ducklings (yes, one is dark... there is apparently a wild gene in there somewhere down the line! )

I have a question...
we are currently building their "run" outside, with a house one end, and the pond the other so they don't splash the chickens!
when it comes to feeding time (pellets & grains ) when and where is best? to ensure that we get eggs in the house in the morning, and ducks in the house at night, and they dont make too much mess.
and will it better to give them another source of water near the food...

cheers

Hi, at two weeks old they should have ad-lib food and water and heat. Once off heat they should still have access to food 24/7 until adult- then if free ranging you can feed in the evenings it will encourage them to go into the house.
regards, David :)
