New hen house

Hiya thought u All might like to see my new hen house (ok its a little blue and looks like a porta loo) soon to be painted another colour!!! not as posh as some ive seen (check out the porch!) but im pround to say its made entirely of recyled material, gathered from my local tip!!! and plenty of room for a few more hens hope you enjoy will update with new photos when its finished!!! my girls like it so thats what matters have two very happy hens with five beds to choose from

Well done Ged! Plenty of room,well thought out --and it will outlast the chinese/garden centre ones (and most others) by years. Dont change the colour too soon it may grow on you! Ros

Brilliant! I think making our own housing is such a good idea as well as being economical, you also can design to suit your own requirements...not sure on the colour though!!!

What a lovely house. Well done! Your chickens look like they are enjoying it and having great fun!

I must say I like the colour- it would look great with some blue ceramic pots with geraniums outside Mind you, I'm a massive fan of blue!
