I live in Perthshire and have three Maran hens and an as yet unsexed chick which is either a Black Rock or an Araucana.
I took care of them for my neighbours when they went on holiday and after some discussion when they returned, they asked if I would like to take them off their hands. The chick is from a friends flock but was hatched when one of my hens was broody.
I've been keeping them now for about about six months.
