hi all my new serama eggs arrive today ,looking forward to hatching a new strain to my seramas so i can use the ones i have to start breading again

all ready for them

They very dificult to hatch,so good luck-you really need it.Do not candle them at all as somtimes this is what kills the embrios.The best if you had a very light broody hen to incubate them for you.I asuming you recived them thru post finger crossed:)
 
thanks we been breading serums now for 3 yrs but unfortunately we lost all our females to a virus during the winter so gone back to a great bloke who sent for us
i know hatch rate will be lower than if we collected
they are from award winning serams
 
Where do you keep them during winter?Ideally they should be inside the house as they do not like wet and cold whether and getting sick because of it.I really hope you have some.My friend has them too very nice birds have a peak on his webpage http://www.serama-hodowla-drobiu-ozdobnego.pl/
 
yes been keeping serums now for a few years i have a brick out house that is heated and insulated for them during the winter
the cockerels this yr stayed out but there coop had a heater in but only kicks in when they come in the coop
we had a great hatch rate of 80% but the virus wiped out most of my stock

had a look some very nice serums there and some lovely colours could not understand the lingo tho !!!! :D
 
Ha,ha,lets say 1 picture is worth a 1000 words :mrgreen: My friend live in Poland :)
But hay please show us your birds.I love to look at them.If it is no secret show they house too:)
