Oh dear Ha! Well, people do say we're a bit behind the times in this part of the world- and I just proved it! :lol: I'm going to join the Dyfed poultry society so hopefully they'll send me the 2010 dates fot the show- and I'll pop them on here!

Do many people on here show their birds? I'm thinking about putting a couple of birds in the show above as its only about 10 miles from me- just to see what goes on really! - Is showing for the first time really scary? And most importantly, will the old hands think I'm nuts to even try :lol:

If it's a local show,give it a go.The poultry exhibitors are really friendly and helpfull,also,when judging has finished you can ask the judge what he/she liked about your birds,or,preffered someone else's more.

Thanks Lydia- May well try! - My birds are all quite young- POL or younger so not sure how they'll get on!

they could have classes for young birds.I recently entered my pullet bantam in a bantam show.She got 2nd place in a class of 6,I was very pleased as she was the youngest looking girl in her class.The others looked more mature.
