Excellent article, good to see local authorities making positive and helpful rules to support and encourage urban chicken keepers.

Interesting indeed.

Looking through rose tinted glasses in a couple of places though:

''Better food source for eggs.

Any harmful effects of antibiotics, hormones or other chemical additives would be avoided with homegrown eggs.

Low impact pet.

Backyard chickens should not require soaps, chemicals, medicines or other intrusive products ''.

Just hope they don't tune into a couple of forums or they might find out how much of the above and more is actually used in keeping a few backyard chickens !!
