I thought I'd let you know about by two new babies. I keep about 60 poultry and 10 ducks, but this is the first time I've had Geese. They are about three months old, and I've had them from when they were three weeks. One is an Emden, and the other is an African Chinese cross. Although we do not know what sex they are, they are called Arwen and Gandalf, and they live in a Goose house called " Middle Earth " that my long suffering husband made. They are extremely tame, though my mother would disagree as they bite her on the bum when she hangs out the washing. I have completely fallen in love with Geese, and if Arwen and Gandalf do not produce offspring, I would definitely want to add some more.

I know very little about Lord of the rings Marigold, But my husband says the character he is named after is called Gandalf the grey, which suits my goose to a tee. I can tell you as well, my primary school teachers daughter married the grandson of JRR Tolkien. ( My claim to fame ! )
Thanks for the welcome Zo, I don't have any goose related problems yet, But give me a little while and I'm sure I'll have many questions to ask you all. I do have a gay duck called Dave, but I think that's a story for another day.
