Mustard Poo

Saturday update (incase anyone else will find this useful info or finds the same issue) This is state of play before Blackies 2nd bath, she's still got a lot of 'mustard' round her vent, but doesn't smell nearly as bad. Doing tiny poos, but looking healthier

This is after the bath. I've been able to peel away a lot more of the yellow scab. I've cut it away with scissers and it looks like skin, but the more I pull at it, the more it tears/hurts her & don't want to make her bleed or leave an open wound worse than there is already. I've smothered her in sudocream and started her on baytril last night.

She enjoyed her blow dry again :) and is now out in the garden with the others, pale but seemingly otherwise OK??? I'll have another bath for her tomorrow & keep peeling the scab...

That looks such a lot healtier today. I'd think that was healing up, once the rest of the scab has gone. Is she still doing runny poos? I expect they are quite caustic and once they clear up she'll have a better chance.

Thank you :)
The poos are very small, but looking a lot more like normal ones. Foxy advised ACV in the water, so off I went to goggle at the different versions and prices in various supermarket/petshops :D. I've added it to their water today (gosh it pongs) and for the first time in a few days, she scoffed a nice big portion of mash mixed with water before muscling her way back into her 'top' spot between her 'duvet' sisters for the night :)
Feeling happy and positive for the first time in days...

Final update...... :) :) :)
The scab dropped off completely today, she's eating like a horse and I couldn't have done it without you all (thank god for forums and all your help). She's still raw and sore, but a few more days of sudafed and care will see everything back as it should be. After losing 3 chooks, finally feel like I CAN get through something like this without losing another baby.
Happy girls (both me and chicken) :D
