So you got your Lavenders ! Did you hatch them yourself ? I've only recently realised how much I like the Whites.
Someone was asking recently how to sex youngsters - today I loked at my batch of six. Two are definately males as they are bigger and longer. Two are definately female as they have very feminine heads but most noteably the wing feathers are longer, almost fully developed. The two definate males have no wing feathers to speak of yet. The other two, though smaller have little or no wing feathers so it will be interesting to see what sex they turn out to be. It would be good if wing feather growth could be a useful sign for sexing.
