Marked eggs with felt pen

Hi. I have a broody hen and want to give her eggs. I have 6 that I marked with a red cross with a felt tip pen before I realised she was broody. Can I still give her these eggs or do I have to wait for new ones? 07

There is a risk that the ink could be absorbed through the shell, you would be better to wait for somemore eggs and mark them with pencil.

Thank you ... that is what I thought. Patience is a virtue that I am not well endowed with ... but I will wait. I now have 2 broody hens! Thanks ☺
