Hi, first time posting (laura usually hogs the account)
We have four quails.
Our first two were Houdini and Molly (male/female pairing) of CPQ and then a few months later we got Honey and Izzy (two additional females) to ease up on Molly who was getting alot of unwanted attention.
He is most sexually active with Izzy least of all with Honey with Molly being second preferred.
We have a behavioral problem with Houdini who seems to 'attack' Izzy, and Izzy alone when i am above the cage or have my hand in the cage. He will peck at her when she passes him. Only on the head.
However, if i pick up Honey and remove her from the cage while i am holding her, he will actively SEEK Izzy and peck at her making her cry out. This does not happen if i pick up Molly.
It's a bit problematic as we are trying to tame the new girls but Izzy is now associating us with pain.
Anyone got any ideas? :S
