look at the size of this egg

This morning as usual went an let out chickens ducks an geese fed waterd all poultry. 20mins later check for eggs an fount this wopper.its my light Sussex cross black rock hen has laid it. Now come on thats gotta hurt. . Y has one of them laid this big. I no its not duck cos the egg is same as sussex rock.

Are alyesbury duck eggs white?? The big egg is more of light buff colour like some chicken eggs.

It looks like a chicken egg and probably a double yolker. It's not uncommon to get eggs this big, usually at the beginning or end of a laying period. Doesn't seem to upset the hens at all and owners are always very pleased.
