Long thin browny red thing hanging from poland s backside

Hi, One of my Polands is off colour and quiet. I have bought her indoors, she has been drinking a bit since I have bought her in, she didnt seem to be taking fluids at all out of doors. She has pecked at a few chick crumbs. I have noticed a long thin something or the other coming from the back area. It is about the size of a pencil lead if that and seems to be increasing. :-)03 My first thought was worms, I have just got some flubovet and was just about to worm them. She is about 16 weeks , will check, so too young to start laying. I would have thought a prolapse would be bigger. Has anyone any idea what it could be? :-)19

It may help people give you an idea of what it could be if you could post a photo.
 
Ugh, well its come out now, but I have noticed that she has passed some white very watery droppings and her breathing seems a bit noisy. Shes asleep at the moment.

rather to my amazement she is up on her feet this morning pecking at some food! I will look at the link
 
Well no, it was red brown and long and thin, it did look like an internal something or the other, rather like a thin worm. :-)11 Shes too young to be getting ready for egg laying she 12 weeks not 16. Its not large at all, when she was standing it eventually reached to the ground and then seems to have passed out :-)03 . She passed some white very watery motions and now seems to have passed a normal motion. I dont know if its normal for Polands breathing to sound rather wheezy, I have not noticed it before.

I do wonder if the birds are affected by this constant rain. They have plenty of shelter and a large run, but I had a Lavender Aracuna cockeral who was off his feet for several weeks and it was really touch and go, but again responded to being bought indoors.We never worked out what was wrong with him.

It could actually be a large earth worm CB. Ours avoid them generally but sometimes the temptation is too much after a rain storm with them wriggling to the surface. Following morning there are long pinky red bits in the poos and I have deduced these are the bodies of the worms with the insides removed. Could be part of the ovaduct though but that's normally pinky cream in colour, like an uncooked pork sausage.
 
Thanks for that. In fact I culled her today. Both eyes became infected and she developed fly strike, poor thing. She was obviously a very poorly chicken.
