Hello all
One of my Welsummers is limping quite badly. She's still eating and drinking and appears quite alert, but at times she'll stand on one leg with her head and tail down.
Today I noticed she was crouched down with one of her wings out. At first I thought she was dust bathing but the limp is becoming worse. I've picked her up and checked her over. No obvious sign of any injury or swelling on her foot or leg. I wondered of it was a case of bumblefoot starting but I can't see anything.
Any ideas anyone?
I think it's more likely an injury but not 100% sure. I'm planning to take her to the vet on Monday. How much am I likely to pay? I've never been to a vet with a hen before.
