Hi My name is Casey and I am from Kent, I would welcome some advice from you knowledgable lot please!
My small Ranger chook is laying well eating normally layers pellets (up till today when all she wants is grass at mo ) but as from last night all she wants to do is lay down seems very bright eyed and okay other wise, she can stand but as soon as I pick her up and put her down again she stands for a second or two then lays down! Any ideas please.
Thanks in anticipation...... :(

Hello Casey, is she breathing normally? any discharge from beak/ mouth?
Has she lost weight? is she very thin? droppy wings? hunched up? Are her legs ok? no injuries/lameness?
sorry for all the questions but without seeing the bird we need to know as much as possible to try to help you.
regards, David :)

Thank you
Chook is newly started layer and looks great in herself bright eyed no discharge from beak wings slightly dropped but seems to be for balance rather than anything else! Has eaten only bread and water with few pellets but not much, tail is drooping and has slightly runny pooh now. Has stood for a while longer today but then flops down.!!!!!
Thanks for your help tho.
