Please could I get some advice about one of my hens. She is limping this morning, but was fine yesterday. She can use the leg but there is a definite limp. I've checked her leg the best I can, it's not swollen anywhere and there is no sign of injury at all, just the limp. I have put her in a cage on her own inside the main run with a deep layer of wood shavings. She is eating and drinking, but spending most of her time lying down. Should I take her to a vet or just see how she gets on? Have I done the right thing restricting her movement? The others pick on her when she lies down if she's left out with them. Does anyone know what it could be?
