Here's a strange one, I wonder if its just me but can the temp on your inc increase the amount of chances of having all boys.
So far I have hatched 3 lots of eggs and out of them all I've had 1 hen and 9 cockerels. I wouldn't mind their all different colours so all from different hens and all different Cockerels (eggs brought online). So the only link is my inc..

Any idea's would love to hear them

Hmm I often wonder about this but I've never heard of the incubation temp. being a factor.

Last year I had a large number of hens hatch, this year, a large number of cockerels.

I think that on average it should work out at 50:50 so if you carried on hatching, like flicking a coin, you will eventually for a largew enough sample end up with 50:50.

It can be annoying though out of so many chicks to get that many cockerels. :evil:

Perhaps somebody else has some other ideas on this...
