Indian Runner Duck

Runner ducks have a long history, as evidenced by ancient Javan temple carvings indicating that Runner-type ducks existed in Southeast Asia hundreds of years ago. They are well-known for their upright posture, active nature, and exceptional egg-laying abilities, making them both a practical and charming addition to any backyard flock.

Personal Traits:
Indian Runner Ducks are energetic, inquisitive, and social. They enjoy foraging and exploring their environment, often walking rather than waddling like other duck breeds. They are generally friendly with humans and can coexist peacefully with other poultry. Their upright stance and “running” gait are unique identifiers of this breed.
