i have always thought that was the one as he adores sitting up on my shoulders etc etc like my other 3 cockerals did , grab a sarnie and a cuppa to sit back and watch the council savage me as cockerals are a no go zone   hes totally free to a good home but i have to admit he was quite loud although i doubt i would hear him from my house :-)05

don't get attached... you don't have the hens to serve him do you? we've got one on the verge of crowing, as soon as he does, he's in a pot. But I'm not super confident on the evisceration part... :-)11

hes in with my bantams an odd chick and his sister , i have someone who will do the deed for me as i doubt i will be able to rehome him :(

Try 'Preloved' website. We found a home for our lovely Buff Orpington Cockerel called Spike very quickly. And you don't have to worry about him being taken to be eaten as he's a bantum. So I'd try that straight away Karminski.

i have put him on there along with his sister if someone wants a pair ,i cant risk keeping him as i know only to well someone will complain :( :( it will be soo sad to see him go .

be careful putting them together if they are going on their own. not fair on the hen or the cockerel if they are on their own. unless the new owners have other hens for the cockerel, one hen for one cockerel is unfair to both. he needs more women to play with to be happy and she will become stressed being the only one with a mature cockerel.

thats one thing i will be checking on if anyone shows any interest which i hope they do . :)

i wont build up my hopes yet but i might be able to keep my boy , i spoke to the council woman first thing this morning and she bascailly said i cant not keep him but if someone complains then he will have to go which of course i understand that as my site is surrounded by houses and we have to respect people living here but she is going to give me the numbers of people on sites very close by that have chickens to see if anyone of them would like him , its ok for them to have cockerals as there isnt any houses close to them only a massive prison and this woman doesnt want me to have him p.t.s if ic ant rehome him so shes helping me as much as she can { bigggggggggg shocker there i can tell you } but this afternoon i managed to get to see someone who lives right behind the run and i asked if they could hear the birds and they said yes and they love hearing them and the cockeral wont bother them so i have offered for them to go on my egg list   no i wasnt bribeing them much.

and you dont know half the story ,i could write a book about the allotment , council and the trouble and it would be a number best seller  although i still dont trust her but at least they know i am trying to sort it out and rehome if i can but theres 1 other couple i would like to speak to about it once i speak to them i will be a bit more happier .
even if i only get to keep him tell the spring which is when hes more then likely to triple his noise :-)05

are the pics of just 2 different birds? i would say they are both cockerels judging by the bit of tail i can see on the second one. :(
