I HAVE A HEN WITH AN EYE PROBLEM, THE EYE IS CLOSED, I HAVE VERY CAREFULLY OPENED IT AND THE AREA IS RED AND SOMEWHAT BUBBLEY. I KEEP EVERYTHING VERY CLEAN AND I JUST REMOVED ALL THE HENS AND SPRAYED THE ENTIRE AREA WITH A BIRD FRIENDLY NATURAL MITE DETERRANT. I WOKE UP THIS MORNING AND FOUND THAT A SECOND BIRD HAS THE SAME PROBLEM, CAN ANYONE HELP ME HELP MY BIRDS? THEY EAT AND DRINK, BUT THIS CANT BE GOOD. THANK YOU.

likely repiratory infection/myco infection/eye infection-I would see vet ASAP as you do not want to miss a treatable infection such as myco that can spread rapidly with devastating results. Ros

Ditto along the same lines as podstable. I'd get a trip to the vet in quick in case it is myco. Isolate any birds showing signs of this. Keep them away from the others in the flock.

While I am here I am just going to mention the use of all caps when typing. In internet useage all caps is considered shouting. I know, bit strange, but if you spend a fair amount of time online and see its use, it does often get used when people are annoyed/angry and making themselves heard. With this in mind could you please use lower case and caps only when needed for start of sentences etc. Thanks :)

Thank you for responding to my ad. You have been very helpful.
