Hi , I have aquired 2 ducklings, I am told they are Aylesbury breed. They "peep" at the moment no quacking. They are all yellow with very downy feather, their beaks are a very pale pink/yellow. I have decided they are too young to keep outside so are in my kitchen at the moment, they paddle in the bath twice a day, munch on layers pellets and have plenty of water. When should I expect to see their adult feathers come through?? How old would you say they are??? Their bodies are approx the size of an average size ladies palm. Also should they be on a special diet as they are growing???

They need to be on crumbs until about 6 weeks i feed it, then gradually mix growers into it. They sound to be around 2 weeks old. They will start getting feathers at about 4-5 weeks, and 4 weeks is the earliest i've ever had a duck quack.

my aylesbury s are just under 3 weeks they are yellow with white fluff on wings they just sqeek.
i put them out yesterday because so hot and they were much happier out there, i left them with the other ducks
they are running round garden with chickens of all sizes and ages and some very big ducks.

I have changed them onto crumb, should they be outside then??? Would they be alright with my chickens??? They are quite big chickens, would hate them to scare the little ducks!!
