They would probably be on the point of lay at 24 weeks but this may be delayed a bit whilst they cope with the stress of moving to a new place. Hybrids usually start to lay between 20 - 26 weeks if they are not moved during that time, which is why many people try to buy them a bit younger, at 16-20 weeks, to give them time to settle. However, at least they haven't been disturbed just as they were laying their first eggs, as this often stops thgem for a week or two whilst they settle down. and individual birds may start earlier, or even later, up to 28-30+ weeks. there are few rules to puberty, except that, like us, they all get there sooner or later.
Are they tame enough to come to your hand when you hold out a few grains of corn? If you can run your hand down their backs, they will crouch and spread their wings when nearly ready to lay (hoping you are a cockerel.) You may also notice them investigating the nestboxes during the day, and then coming out again - this is a good sign.
Not long to wait for those brilliant first eggs - let us know when you get one (or 6!)
