hi all, ive a homemade incubator for hire , i made it myself from an old fridge , its got a really accurate dimming thermostat and holds bang on 37.5 for the duration, albeit when you have to turn the eggs, it then taskes less than a minute to readjust back to set temp. it would tak up to around 50 hens eggs i reckon.
it has two shelves and has humidity level reader plus differnt size trays to vary the humidity.ive had a 6/10 hatch, &a 7/10 hatch the last one was only three days ago. all my chicks are available to see, , i must point out that the other eggs were infertile or didnt develope.im just looking to recoup the cost of the materials of bilding it and would like to help out anyone looking to incubate from home who doesnt want to spend hundreds on an incubator. ideally im after £25.00 for the duration of the hatch ,must be able to collect and drop back off.i live in market harborough, leics/northants border. if interested please get in touch.

Hi Ziggy. Is bump Leicestershire speak for ditto? Would be interested to know how you built it and what materials you needed.

Hi , thanks , I made I really easily from an old fridge , stripped out all the back leaving a air tight insulated fridge , cut a vision panel in front of the door. Kept the two shelves , put two in line bus connected to a regarded thermostat , which I keep at 37.5 for hens eggs , had a feed via a pipe to top ul water for humidity , it has worked really well I've had three good hatches from it , I have a video I can email of them hatching , the only cost to me really was the thermostat £47.00 , but if any one would like ti borrow it for a cheap cost I'm using it at moment . But in a month it will be free to rent
 
Sorry, wasn't being sacastic about 'bump'. Never heard the term on here before. Just 'view unread posts' brings up everything not previously read, no matter where in the queue it is.

Where did you get the stat Ziggy?
 
I got it online , from a specialist I can see if I can find the link and post on here later , it's really accurate , the only problem I gave is either infertile eggs or bad transit in post so I prefer to get locally , it's all the difference
