Hi I use to keep chickens years ago and forgotten alot so now that I have chickens again I have lots and lots of questions that I will post about in the other areas. ;-) I have 4 hens and two roos currently and I am loveing the eggs they give me. I look forward to getting to know all of you and your flocks.

Hi Amanda, and a big welcome to the forum. It's always good to hear from people who don't live in the UK like most of us do, to find out what's the same and what's different about keeping chooks in another part of the world. Like you, I used to keep chickens when the kids were growing up, then gave up for a few years and then got back to it. It's been interesting to find out how things have progressed in the meanwhile. A bit like becoming a granny and getting used to using disposable nappies (not that my chickens have tried them yet.)

Hi Amanda and welcome to the forum. I know NC a tiny bit. Visited some friends years back -just after the storms that took all the tops of the trees along the coast -1986 I think?
