I have 18 white leghorn ex battery hens and all of a sudden they all stopped laying eggs...up until now they were laying everyday...any ideas on why they went on strike????

Hello, they will stop laying- are they moulting? If, they are they will have a few weeks off to use the energy to grow new feathers- also, i know you are in the USA but has the weather become colder? Have you changed their feed? This can also stop them laying-but as with most ex batts- they will lay for a few weeks when first arrived in their new home then stop to moult out and take a break before starting again.
If they are fit and well and eating then i wouldn't worry too much- they will come back into lay when ready.
regards, David :)
