Hen massages with Pumpkin - video!

Just thought I would share this with you - my hen comes asking me for massages about twice a day. She waits at my feet and looks up at me, then settles into my lap when I pick her up. This is what ensues

She also tucks her head into the crook of my elbow or underarm. Do anyone else's chickens do this? Its incredibly sweet and a lovely way to spend time with her I think.

Haha, she is the best. I feel really relaxed massaging her as well. She sometimes preens me while I'm doing it which makes me just melt inside. Ok I'll stop gushing now. I'm going to the BHWT hen rehoming event in St. Helens on Sat so she will have some new fren(emies) soon...

Liked the video Wax_crayon. Ours go to sleep as soon as they sit on our laps. Pumpkin must have been aware of the camera. Bottom pecks your leg when he wants a cuddle -could be 10x a day if we had the time.

Would love to see some of your videos too. We're getting our ex-bats tomorrow - I'm very nervous - this is the first time we've rehomed. I hope I can nurse them back to health as I did with Pumpkin.
