My name is Trevor, and I'm from Washington. I have about 50 chickens of the Leghorn and Orpington breeds, and I'm thinking of getting more in the near future.

Hello Trevor and welcome. We used to keep Orpingtons and Leghorn bantams and also bred Wyandottes, but took the decision not to have more when we realised that the Avian Flu regulations here would result in them all being slaughtered if there is an outbreak within 1 kilometre. There are several poultry businesses within that distance and our chickens can't be hidden, so when we bought more they were just hybrids from the local gardening shop. Still very sweet and lay like crazy under the guidance of an enthusiastic cockerel.

Is that Washington Northern England or East America?
