Hello--dropped in to say hello but looks like everyone has already gone to the Caribbean for Christmas apart from me! Nothing to say or talk about so --- Goodbye! Ros

Hi Ros,
it is quiet isn't it,maybe we should have gone to the Caribean as well :D .

No,you're definitely not the only one.Where are they all????Probably out at xmas parties etc.

I am here as well Ros! :D You are right though Lydia - it's very quiet - I was going to put something on about it too. Ah well! there are three of now. Perhaps Christmas has taken over!

Mmmmm,I must be turning into Scrooge.....had enough of xmas already........

Oh don't be like that ~ I've just finished work for the Christmas holidays............ yeah :D Can really get into the christmas spirit now ....hic!!!
(actually its the decorating for me ...thrilling  )

----If there are only the 4 four of us not in the caribbean, I wonder if the others will be able to get back ever--its a long way to swim if you went on BA! Ros

LOL,serve them right for going  .
We're putting our decorations up fri afternoon, when Stu finishes school for xmas break.i've been de-cobwebbing today, poor spider's,they are all homeless now  .

With this weather Ros will they want to come back? I feel very hurt that they didn't invite us :(
Yes, Lydia - you do what I do - I can't puty up the decorations till I've cleaned the place up and got rid of as much clutter as possible - seem to have accumulated a bit this year.

I do think Tim could have warned us that he was going to desert us! Anyway - I always say it's say it's quality not quantity that counts.

likewise,I've got a hen ark in my hall,2 rabbit hutches in my lounge, can't get to the table, and the chooks are coming in daily to dustbath and scattering sand everywhere........

too right about quality not quantity,i'm big enough for the quantity,....you,Ros and Lucylou must be the quality :D .

I've had flu for the last 3 days - have been so wrotten I couldn't even get out to sort the birds out. :(

Feeling a little better today - and desperately in need of getting out to check the girls are ok... and there's snow everywhere outside! Ahh... very pretty but the last thing I need today!

Yes, visitor numbers have dropped everywhere - I look at Google 'trends' and it shows pretty much all of the popular chicken keeping searches have fallen off a cliff... The main site had 300 visitors yesterday but normally gets around 700...

Anyway, I'm here. I haven't deserted you ;) I'm just a bit rough at the mo..

Well! That's eerie Tim - I nearly said perhaps you have flu but erased it because it looked like a warped sense of humour and didn't want to tempt fate either. Really glad you are feeling a bit better - trouble with flu is you think you feel better one minute and it's back with a vengeance the next!Take care and at least - touch wood - you will be fine for Christmas.

Yes, hopefully on the mend now... time to catch up with some work now! I'm no where near ready for Christmas... :?

ah you poor thing,we'd rather you were in the Caribean with out us than have flu.Er,have you got proper flu (where you're actually ill)or man flu-where you think you're ill :D .Sorry, couldn't resist.
So you're a bit behind on inviting us all round for your cooked guinea fowl then????

Oh Lydia, Guinea Fowl is so 2008. Venison is the new Guinea Fowl for 2009.

Over the man flu anyway. Suddenly realised I wasn't ill and it was all in the mind really but still going to get an early night tonight none the less. A busy weekend ahead catching up.

As long as you cook it,we'll eat it lol.

Glad you're better, flu of any variety is murder.I'm lucky, get flu jabbed every year, this year my doc's went overboard and swine flu jabbed me as well.

Hope you are recovering Tim. __Good job you missed the PK Forum BA charter flight to Barbados--if you had flown with flu you could have ended up with an ear infection!!!! Much better to stay here and muck out animals in the snow , its taking me all my time to get round everything with hot water , by the time I ve finished they are all frozen again. We dont usually get this much snow round here. It is very pretty as its sunny . Keep taking the paracetamol Tim and youll be fine for doing the Christmas cooking! Did anyone see that Programme last night Heston Blumenthal doing a Feast - dormouse in chocolate, venison etc--looked DISGUSTING!Ros

No, I didn't see it - but I also had fun this morning with the water. Even the water in the houses was frozen.

I had to work pretty hard cleaning as everything was frozen solid and stuck to the floor of the houses!

We're cooking venison casorole this morning - I've got a lot to get through!

Nearly slipped out a rudolf joke but I won't...
