Hi everyone
My names Ann, I'm an experienced poultry keeper and have been around on a few forums before. I live in Nottinghamshire, I keep Brahma's, Cochins, Orpingtons and the very rare Scillian Buttercup.
I thought I'd share a few photo's with you as they seldom turn up at shows and it's not often folks get a chance to see them.

They are a very attractive bird, but being of mediterranean type they are very flighty, but loads of character. The boys will pick a fight with anything thats at least three times their size and win!!!

Anyway I look forward to hearing from you guys and getting to know you all.

Oh well don't worry!!! I'd forgotten. :oops: I'm glad you both like the Buttercups, unfortunetly this prolonged winter we're having is holding back all my chooks from laying [especially the boys :o :D ]

I've just picked up some Gravo and I'm hoping that it will help kick start the chooks into laying.

Your birds look fantastic - I love their colours and the photos are excellent too - well done.

Is there much colour variation between hens?

I would think we crossed each others paths on the Pekin Bantams site. I was SOE [son of eddy] in those days. What a shame that site folded, I still miss it, a good little forum that was. I just came back from a hol and there it was GONE!!! :o

No I wasn't,I've only been keeping chooks for a short while,so you were all lucky :lol: .
 
Yes, I used to visit Pekin Bantams forum regularly, it was very good. I still miss many of the old timers from there..yes I remember son of eddy! I spent most of my time reading but was drawn into a few posts from time to time, mainly about Orpingtons.

I know of a few people from PBF here - but like you, most have changed their user names somewhat - so every now and again I bump into someone I knew!

Unfortunately my address book went with PB forum, otherwise I might have dragged a few more people in.. but in time hopefully a few more will find us!
