Hello all!

I'm a relative newbie to chicken keeping and have four hybrids. All are doing well and are kept free range. One has gone broody at the moment which I'm hoping she'll soon get over and start laying again.

Hi WileECoyote and welcome to the forum. One of my favourite cartoon characters -the Acme gadgets he used against Roadrunner were pretty inventive .

We're in Staffordshire at the moment but Dordogne from September if all goes to plan. As soon as the internet is connected I should be back on the forum, but I'm expecting it to be rather slow.

Internet here is very slow. No broadband yet in rural areas, only dial-up and the quality of the line here is appalling with connection speeds often as low as 20k. When it isn't raining and the telephone lines are dry it reaches a breathtaking 50k :lol:

At least my hens are tame and I don't need any Acme gadgets to catch them!

Sounds as though I won't be posting much then WileE! Getting a feel for traditonal Woodcraft -my Grandfather was a cabinet maker. So perhaps I'll be going back to ancesteral roots and spending my time on that? Got satellite TV for Rosie.
